Binary weighting uses 2ⁿ levels and does not reach the upper analog endpoint at its highest code. Endpoint mapping reaches both endpoints and is useful for calibrated channels. Analog conversion rounds to the nearest level and saturates to the code range. Signed codes map from the minimum signed integer at the analog minimum. Actual ADC transition, offset, and gain characteristics come from the device datasheet.
LSB = analog span / denominator
analog = minimum + (raw − raw minimum) × LSB
